Nick Luckock, previously a Partner at Actis, will be joining HgCapital in October as a Partner. Nick will be a member of the Services team working alongside Matt Rourke and Andrew Land. This follows the promotions of Amanda Good and Sebastien Briens to Partner in May.
HgCapital is delighted to announce that Nick Luckock, previously a Partner at Actis, will be joining the firm in October as a Partner and member of the Services team.
The firm has known Nick for many years and believe that he is an excellent addition to the Partnership, representing a strong fit with HgCapital’s investment approach and organisational culture. Nick has been an investor since joining Apax Partners in 2001 and since then he has established deep experience across a large number of small and medium sized businesses in the business services, financial processing and technology sectors. In his most recent role at Actis, Nick led equity investments into AGS, Paycorp, Upstream Systems and CSH. Nick will work closely alongside Matt Rourke, Andrew Land and Thorsten Toepfer, in particular, as well as the rest of the ten person HgCapital Services team.
Nick’s appointment represents the third addition to the HgCapital partnership in 2016, after the promotions of both Amanda Good and Sebastien Briens earlier in the year.
These promotions also follow the addition of two other experienced, senior investment professionals to the HgCapital team in the first half of 2016. Firstly, Florian Wolff joined HgCapital’s Munich office as a Director, after previously working at Advent International and McKinsey. In addition, Enrico Grasso joined the Firm’s TMT team, having previously been a Director at KKR, spending over eight years in their London office.
Following these promotions and new additions to the executive team, the firm now has 16 Partners across the Firm and a total team of over 110 people, based across our offices in London and Munich, placing the firm in a strong position for the future.
Matthew Rourke, Managing Partner and Head of the Services Team commented:
“Nick is someone that our firm has known and admired for a long time. Which is why we are delighted that he is joining us. We are very confident that he will be a success at Hg.”
